MWA  NOMINATION  &  ELECTION NEWS

The nomination process prior to the annual election meeting Tues, January 13, 2026 is open for nominations.  The last day nominations will be accepted is Tues, December 23, 2025.

The MWA regular board of directors has six members.  A regular board member’s term is three years, and these terms are staggered so that two members’ terms expire each year.  This year the two directors’ terms that are expiring are Gary Delin and Kurt Bennet.

To run for the MWA regular board of directors, a person must have been an MWA member for at least four (4) consecutive years.

The MWA land board has five members.  A land board’s member’s term is five (5) years, and these terms are staggered so that one member’s term expires each year.  This year’s member whose term expires is Gary Reed.

To run for the land board a nominee must be a member for at least four (4) consecutive years and have previously served on the MWA regular board of directors.

To state your intention to run for office or to nominate someone for office, contact any current board member (board members’ contact information is under the menu “About MWA”) who will pass the names onto the board’s nominating committee.  The nominating committee verifies that the person(s) nominated desires to run, and that they qualify per MWA’s bylaws.

• The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
• The election meeting is Tuesday January 13, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
• NOMINATIONS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE ANNUAL MEETING.
